by: "girls scout" mom

School Preparation

If it is your kids first day in school then no doubt that this will be hard for him. Many teachers are well versed on a way on how to manage the separation of mother and child and more often than not, it is the parent that finds it harder than the child! Anyways in saying that, to make the whole idea easy and fun, allowing your child to choose all of their special school things often is a great idea to get them involved and excited.

Take a day to go shopping with your son or daughter and let them choose their kids backpacks (if the school doesn’t have a set uniform school bags), their lunchbox, their school shoes (again if the school doesn’t have a set of uniform shoe) and also what they will have for the lunch on their very first day. This way they will feel like they have played a big part in preparing for their transition into the start of their education.

Budgeting for Back to School

Generally speaking, going back to school can cost a lot of money for families with one child. However, there are some fantastic lay-by services which allow you choose all the things your child or children will need for school and gradually pay of the whole amount over a long of period of time. This moment of lay-by certainly takes a lot pressure off the family and its finances, leaving lots of time to simplify enjoy these fun milestones in your life.

Keeping Their Lunches Exciting

It could be pretty tricky to keep a lunchbox contents interesting day in day out. To make sure that the sandwiches that you made for your son will not be tossed in the bin each day, include snacks like berries, almonds, dried fruit and even a little chocolate bar. To be a replacement to your sandwich, try some stuffs frittata, carrots and celery with dip or even mini snack pack of tunas, cheese and crackers. And do not forget to add and include a bottle juice box or water box so

  1. It is true, but preparing for going back to school means that the parents need to prepare ahead of time. Waiting until the week before school to sort out supplies, buy kids backpacks and shop for clothes in a rush is a bad idea and only adds up to the stress and costs.
